Welcome to Croft Farm Snape

A small, family-run campsite and holiday cottages on the edge of Snape, set near the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty — just a short walk from Snape Maltings, the river Alde, and miles of coastal and countryside trails.

Opening Dates

The campsite is open from Easter to early Jan. The cottages — Hill House, The Granary and The Forge — are available year-round.

Three Separate Camping Fields — a Small Site Feel

Rather than one large field, we've laid the camping out across three separate fields, each kept deliberately small. It means more space between pitches, a quieter pitch wherever you settle, and the relaxed feel of an intimate site rather than a busy holiday park — even when we're full.

Each field has its own character — sheltered family pitches, generous Superior and Mega pitches for those who want a touch more room, and Stopover pitches designed for one-night campervan and motorhome arrivals. All three sit within the same working farm setting and share the facilities block, fresh-water standpipes and waste points.

Touring, Campervans & Motorhomes

Generous grass pitches on free-draining sandy Suffolk soil, with room for an awning and the car alongside. Pitch sizes range from compact 70m² Stopover spots through to extra-large 200m² Mega pitches, with 10A and 16A EHU available on selected pitches. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on a lead, and children have plenty of space to play.

Travelling With Friends or Family Who Don't Camp?

If part of your group would prefer a roof over their head, we have three beautifully restored barn conversions on site — perfect for friends or family joining the trip without a caravan or motorhome.

  • The Granary — a characterful three-bedroom holiday home, sleeping up to 5, with a large secure garden.
  • The Forge — our most popular bolt-hole, an open-plan studio with vaulted ceiling and mezzanine bedroom, sleeping 2.
  • All are dog-friendly, available year-round, and adjacent to the campsite — so the whole group can be together while everyone stays the way they like.

Booking

A deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance due before arrival. Your pitch allocation, directions and a local information pack are sent by email 7 days before your stay — on arrival, please proceed directly to your allocated pitch and we'll come and welcome you there.
